Lugano & Ticino
Lugano is our home — where Swiss discipline meets Italian business culture. From here we support entrepreneurs, holdings and families with executive direction, governance and family-office advisory across Switzerland and Italy: Swiss rigour, Italian fluency, and the neutrality that is almost impossible to hold from inside a family or a board. We run cross-border mandates and, on request, work internationally.
From Lugano, at the Swiss–Italian crossroads
Krymax Studio is based in Lugano — where Swiss discipline meets Italian business culture. On the southern side of the Alps, Ticino is the natural economic bridge between the Swiss system — stability, legal certainty, governance standards and confidentiality — and the industrial fabric of northern Italy, an hour from Milan. It is the ideal vantage point for entrepreneurs, holdings and families operating on both sides of the border who want direction in their own language without giving up the Swiss standard. We work closely and in person, with the restraint the marketplace expects: no theatre, clear decisions, measurable execution. This is the home from which every one of our mandates begins, and the reference point for our cross-border work.
For those who steward family wealth and businesses
Ticino concentrates a rare density of family wealth, holdings and family offices — one of Europe's wealth hubs, with a community of entrepreneurs and families who have rooted substance and activity here. We support entrepreneurial families and holdings on multigenerational governance, capital structure and the delicate transitions of ownership and leadership — the moments when family balances make it almost impossible to decide clearly from within. We bring method, neutrality and the discretion the context demands: family protocols, separation of ownership and management, preparation of the incoming generation. We do not replace a family's legal and tax advisers; we give them the direction and the governance frame within which their decisions become sustainable over time, generation after generation.
Who we serve in Ticino
Three profiles, one need: top-tier direction, present when it counts. Entrepreneurial families and single-family offices that must structure governance, succession and capital with method and confidentiality. Holdings and family-rooted SMEs that have outgrown what a founder can run alone and need board-level governance and execution discipline. Funds and investors with portfolio companies or assets anchored locally, looking for an operating partner who creates value on the ground rather than from a deck. To each we bring the same spine — Strategy, Structure, Control — calibrated to the moment of the business and the family, delivered in Italian and English to a Swiss standard, with senior people accountable for the outcome.
The bridge between Ticino and northern Italy
Few borders in Europe are as economically porous as the one between Ticino and Lombardy: integrated supply chains, capital moving in both directions, families and groups with interests on either side. It is precisely the terrain where an advisor fluent in both systems becomes decisive. We help Italian companies build a Swiss presence with real substance — not a nameplate — and Swiss businesses that grow into the Italian market. Governance aligned to both jurisdictions, a coherent operating model, and direction that engages legal and tax advisers on each side: we turn geographic proximity into a structural advantage, avoiding the errors that derail cross-border operations when method and on-the-ground stewardship are missing.
Context. Ticino concentrates a rare density of family wealth and cross-border groups, at the meeting point of the Swiss financial marketplace and the industrial fabric of northern Italy. Globally, 86% of family offices have no clear succession plan for decision-makers (UBS & J.P. Morgan, 2026) — the issue we address most often, before it becomes a risk. In transitions of ownership and leadership the difference is made not by the legal structure but by the quality of governance and a neutral direction that holds family, capital and business together. This is the space where a Swiss advisor, fluent in Italian and grounded in real operating experience, creates tangible value.

Do you only work in Ticino?
No. Lugano is our base, but we run cross-border mandates between Switzerland and Italy and, on request, internationally. Italian fluency and the Swiss standard are our starting point, not a geographic limit — most of our engagements touch both sides of the border.
Do you work with families and holdings, not only companies?
Yes. Family governance, holding structure and succession are a core area: we bring method and neutrality where family balances make it hard to decide from within, working alongside — not replacing — the family's legal and tax advisers.
What sets a Lugano boutique apart from a traditional consultancy?
The combination of a Swiss standard of governance and confidentiality, Italian business culture, and direction that executes rather than merely advises. No junior teams and slide decks: senior people, present in person, accountable for the result.
